Kathmandu , Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Neel Kantha Uprety has said that preparations for the Constituent Assembly by-elections scheduled for June 22 have reached the final stage. Addressing a program organized by the Electoral Education and Information Centre to disseminate information on the preparations for the by-election on Friday, Uprety said no one should doubt the integrity of the by-election. He said electronic voting machines are being used in the by-election to ensure ‘all votes valid votes, entire voting easy voting’. The Chief Election Commissioner said the use of machines would be promoted in the coming elections. Election Commissioner Ila Sharma said the Election Commission was working to conduct the by-election in a free and fair manner.
